“Just sail belly up to the clouds, the rocks scraping your back.
To breathe in the air will be the only thing that you have
and your love will be warm nights with pockets of moonlight spotlighting you as you drift, the actor in this play.
You walk across the stage, take a bow, hear the applause, and as the curtain falls
just know you did it all the best that you knew how and you can hear them cheering now.
So let a smile out and show your teeth cause you know you lived it well.”

went to best buy and 2 walmarts to get an extra controller, an RF adapter, and a game for my brothers gamecube. im also in the market for a dvd rom but nothing caught my eye. we got super smash brothers melee. its basically an all out royal rumble featuring a lot of past nintendo characters. its pretty cool. borrowed return to castle wolfenstein from fred since i got tired of playing mp3s on my computer.
nothing yet…hopefully ill get out of the house today.
later that night
i swear the jack in the box on the corner of coronado ave and saturn blvd is home to slowest, most incompetent people in their work force. EVERYtime i go, the person after gets their order before i do. the last 4 times ive gone, i remember the service either slow, or the workers being VERY incompetent. after my 2 tacos for $2.13, i went to infiltrate the nazis in return to castle wolfenstein. ok tomorrow, i REALLY have to get out of the house…4 more days till next year.
merry christmas everyone!!
my christmas started off with midnight mass. we showed up an hour early at 11pm, but we were still late. i ended up standing for the whole 1.5 hr service. while i was kneeling after communion, i suddenly decided what my new years resolutions were going to be. 1. motivation. 2. discipline. 3. more patience. it was weird. i was kneeling there and then all of a sudden those 3 things popped up into my head. i dunno, im weird.
i drove about an hour up the 5 fwy to drop off my christmas presents to rochelle. it wasnt much, but i got her a beanie from old navy…the kind that have these extensions that cover your ears. and i got her a framed poster of one of our favorite and more meaningful spots. its of the huntington pier and the ruby’s at the end of it. i also gave her a couple presents early. i hope she liked em all…and for me, she got me what ive always wanted and desired….no not that…she got me a logitech cordless freedom optical mouse and keyboard. so as i type this blog, if i wanted to, i could walk up to 12 feet away and still be able to type…if i could read the screen. hehe, but its tight. oh, and she got me a finch tshirt from the concert she went to over the weekend. thank you very much chelle. =)
then i came back to mira mesa for our usual family gathering. i got my bro vols 3 and 4 of the friends dvds. hes watching them right now. i got my dad a pair of pants that i have a feeling ill be exchanging. and my mom really liked the scarf i picked out. my bro also got a freakin nintendo gamecube….sheesh, its obvious which one my parents favor now =/ i got a cd visor from my bro, which i needed desperately. and i also came away with a lot of $$ all in all, one of the better christmas’ ive had. last year was memorable as well.
i hope everyone had a merry christmas. and now, back to playing with my new toys…hehe
are you gonna live your life, standing in the back

Jimmy Eat World
just got back from tiffs house where all the 2by2ers had a little pre-christmas party if you will. all the regulars were there…props to ryan for making some good ass marinated chicken and steak. oh yea, egg nog was interesting too, never had it before.
it was the battle of the sexes, lip synch style. girls did their version of “get over yourself” by edens crush. then it was our turn. we presented a hip hop medley consisting of nelly, fat joe, r kelly and big boy’s classic “universal city nissan”. the decision was unanimous. we won.
simbang gabi is a filipino tradition of going to church at night/early morning the 12 days before christmas. some churches hold the mass at 12 am. others do it at 5 am. our church takes the latter route. its 2:30 right now, so i figure ill just stay up till 5 instead of sleeping for only 2.5 hours.
only 2 more days until christmas. i hope everyone gets what they want this year…including me!!!
my last night in irvine for the year 2001. i havent been home in over a month and im starting to miss it. today, i led rochelle on a little hunt over uci. too bad i couldnt afford to give her anything at the end. so i took her for dinner at taiko instead. cosmo, glamour, the sims, simpsons. went home a little earlier than usual to start packing…
i hope this blog thing loads pretty fast over a phone modem while im at home. otherwise you folks wont know what im up to down there. oh well…i dont think many people read this anyways.
im such a nerd. heres to us…
my last day at work was today…at least until school starts again next quarter. after work, i headed off to brea. my good friends from SD were heading there for the usual tues/thurs night 2by2 meeting and i decided to meet up with them there. its hard to believe that ive been in this business for about a year. its nice to know that some things dont change, such as 2 lamborghinis parked outside the hotel, to dukes dating stories before he had insane amounts of money. we then made a run to burger king. talked to joe hill (as in mountains and valleys) about how we hate engineering and how parents dont understand and how one day, all of this wont even matter…
its raining REALLY hard outside, drive safely…
you know how when you take long trips; for example, to the bay area, vegas or even the trip from OC to SD, you happen to travel alongside the same group of cars? some cars you pass and other cars pass you. you take a little bathroom break and eat, and the semi truck that you passed a couple hours ago, passed you while you were eating and now youre passing it again. you keep going on like this until one of you has reached your destination; and when you reach your destination, some cars keep going on to wherever their final stop may be.
you can compare one of these roadtrips to your life. you start off and you meet people along your way. some of these people stay alongside you on your journey while some drift off, maybe cause of school or moving around, and you never hear from them again…sometimes they happen to catch up to you and they are beside you for a little while, then they drift away yet again. and you also come across new people as you travel along to your destination and then they travel with you for some part of the way. some people you will leave behind and some people will leave you. but at least a couple will stay with you all the way to the end of your journey…just like when you go to the bay or to vegas.
last night, a close friend of mine lost a close friend of his. and while i wanted to say a few comforting words, i couldnt since i could not relate to his situation. they say everyone is separated by at least 6 people; “the 6 degrees of separation”. and today at work, we figured out how small the world is. i had a line of friends that somehow found its way back to his friend who lost his life last night. and even though i couldnt come up with some words of condolence, it seemed that just talking about how we knew the same people somehow made him feel somewhat better. at least i hope it did…
6 more days….
sundaypretty kick back day today. breakfast, more christmas shopping, south coast, american eagle, sam goody…watch lakers, hamburger helper, update site, and visit rochelle in laguna…
