“the water’s deep, but water can’t kill you…so give it up…” -homegrown
finals week is upon us. good luck to everyone.

★ Tuesday

tenth week sux. i had hw due today. math hw due tomorrow. mae 147 project due thurs. and a classics final on friday; a class which i havent gone to in like a month. on top of that, a couple friends and i had to endure the blistering cold for the sake of engineering. we stood in the sci lib parking lot taking turns sitting on ryan’s car, measuring how much his car displaced to attempt to measure the stiffness coefficient of his springs. yay… the only thing to look forward to for now is casey’s bday party on saturday. good luck everyone.

★ Summer 2001: A Recap

ok, if you’ve been a regular to my site, you’ll notice that the last time i updated it was june 9, 2001. why you ask? 3 reasons: 1. i went home to san diego for the summer. 2. no cable modem at my house in san diego. 3. i’m inherently lazy. and while the main portion of my site is due for a major update, i started this blogsite to keep you guys interested. i did a lot and went through a lot since you last heard from me. i don’t know where to start so i’ll just ramble. so here it goes, not necessarily in chronological order. oh yea, im gonna forget some stuff so the stuff i do post, its what i remember the most…
went home for the summer, mainly to just veg and live off my parents and to try my luck at 2by2 in san diego. on my way home, my tire blew out so i was stranded somewhere in san onofre at 11pm at night with a flat and no cell phone. what a great start to my summer. hit the beach a lot the first couple of weeks. tried to get an apt with all the guys, but that fell through. went up north with rochelle to check out the academy of art in sf. i remember she was going through a dilemma. the school was everything she hoped for, but it was far away from home, family and the rest of her life in so cal. and while she loved everything about the school, the cost kept her from going. what a different place the world would be if she went….
so many 2by2 house meetings, theyre all just a blur to me now…every tues/thurs meeting after meeting. what i do remember is what we did after. at 2by2, we not only work hard, we play hard. after business was over, we do what we do best. PLAY!!! its funny how we rush to make the thurs meetings end at 9pm exact so we can hurry and make our way to canes (gross..) just to dance and drink our worries away. after that got old, we moved on to picnics and bbqs at larry’s. of course alcohol was involved.
then there was that thing with miss philippines 2001. i don’t really want to go into details with that since everyone and their mom can read this, but i learned A LOT from that whole deal. maybe in a different place and a different time…but probably not.
saw the boys of blink and nfg again with wosell. this one was better than the new year’s eve one. fireworks and talking shit about osama bin laden. it was great.
then comes time to go back to school. school’s tough. ask anyone. but try handling trying to find a place to live, dealing with relationship problems on top of it. THAT’S what i’ve been going through the past 9 weeks. crazy huh? i can say i didn’t have a permanent place for 9 WEEKS. big thanks goes out to edward and mark for letting me crash in their living room from 10/31 to 11/20.

yesterday was thanksgiving and i have to thank god that im still sane. i have a lot of things to be thankful for. an extended family that always gets together for thanksgiving and every other holiday/occasion…i mean who can pass up a chance to get together and share quality time and FOOD?!?!!? im thankful for the small group of good friends that i have. yea, some people know a million people, but i bet those people can’t say that they have a a group of best friends like i can. theyre the ones who lifted mewhen i was at my lowest, and helped me escape when i needed to the most. you guys know who you are. thank you…

so thats what i’ve been up to. k bye.
